5/25/23 - I Got Distracted By A Dragon (Gone Sexual) (Main Account)
Well, I last left off wanting to do Temple Trekking - which I did some of! I finished my Morytania hard diary and had some fun Trekking - but I felt like it was delaying my goals. So I've been refocusing!
To put a long story short: I did some grinds on my skills. Got my Agility to 70, my Mining to 70 (thanks Motherlode Mine), my Farming to 66 - I've been putting the work in. In addition to that, I've been continuing enjoying quests - primarily Dragon Slayer II.
Finishing DS2 genuinely felt like a huge accomplishment. I love my Mythical Cape, and getting through the quest with under 100 combat level is something I'm pretty proud of. Afterwards I knocked out Monkey Madness I and am finishing up my skills for Monkey Madness II as it unlocks some money makers that will help me get my remaining skills to 70 for Song of the Elves. And with that, let's get an update on my Song of the Elves requirements!
- Agility: 70 *Done!*
- Construction: 63
- Farming: 66
- Herblore: 55
- Hunter: 70 *Done!*
- Mining: 70 *Done!*
- Smithing: 70 *Done!*
- Woodcutting: 70 *Done!*
Only 3 skills to go, and they're all buyable skills. I'm not 100% sure where I'm going from here - I'm thinking about getting my Slayer to 69 (nice) for Monkey Madness II as soon as possible, and training my Ranged along the way so I can eventually try to get some Vorkath kills in. Who knows! But I'll be sure to update you all in the next one :)
5/8/23 - Suddenly I'm A Diary Completionist? (Main Account)
It has been a weird past 2 weeks in Gielinor for me! To catch you up briefly to about 2 days ago - I killed some more Oomlies to make another million or so GP, but I decided I need to find a better long-term source of gold, preferably while also giving me some meaningful experience. I started doing Slayer as just a default thing to fall back on, but wanted something more consistent and decided to look into efficient Temple Trekking - which needs the Morytania Legs 3. Given that I'd never completed a medium diary, let alone a hard one, suddenly I felt a bit overwhelmed haha.
Completing the easy and medium diaries took almost no time, but the hard diary is being more time consuming. I've done everything so far but harvesting watermelon on the island that you unlock by doing The Great Brain Robbery, so I have to do Creature of Fenkenstrain, then I can get to work on that. For context on the effort I've put into this hard diary though - I had to get from 58 prayer to 70 and do all of the Black Knights quest line to unlock Piety and then also do Haunted Mine. All of this for some legs that let me teleport to a semo-abandoned town lol.
Well, that's the plan! Hopefully tonight I finish the hard diary and then I can Temple Trek to make myself some gold for Construction :)

4/24/23 - Bird Burning Extraordinaire (Main Account)
Well I got more than a little sidetracked LOL. So to start - I did A Kingdom Divided! I did not, however, jump into degriming herbs afterwards. I realized that if you do Legends' Quest you get 120k experience in a skill of your choice - one of which is Agility! So I knocked out Family Crest and Legends' Quest to get 120k Agility experience, taking me up to 67 Agility! Now I have very little Agility-specific grinding I have to do, which my hand will appreciate. That's my only skill update, so no need to update my Song of the Elves skill list this time, just check the last update hehe.
This is where things got weird though. A video from FlippingOldschool came up on Youtube about the OSRS collector community, and it got me very interested! So I joined a Discord and started helping people with their collections, making some gold in the process. In the one day that I have been in the Discord I helped someone kill Oomlies, helped someone else try to burn Oomlie Wraps, sold buckets of rubble - and got my cash stack up to 10 mil! I definitely need to keep growing my cash stack for construction at minimum, and this has been a really fun way to make some gold. From here I think I'm going to do Desert Treasure I because I still haven't unlocked the Ancient Magicks spellbook and I should go ahead and knock that out. From there I want to do Dream Mentor and unlock more spells - just to give myself access to as much as I can.
To wrap up, I've really got no idea what I'm gonna have done when I do my next update! Hopefully more fun stuff :) see y'all soon!
4/19/23 - I Miss My Goblin Friend (Main Account)
This is gonna be a pretty expected update, but I've finished my questing for Agility experience! This is the last time we'll see this list of quests here, so here they are all marked as done!
- Cabin Fever Done!
- Troll Romance Done!
- Land of the Goblins Done!
- Mourning's End II Done!
- Beneath Cursed Sands Done!
- Grim Tales Done!
I gotta say, I actually got very invested in the Land of the Goblins storyline. I'm not sure if they have expanded upon that quest line, but I know that Land of the Goblins is required to complete another quest so *hopefully* I get to learn more about what happened to Zanik. I never really expected to get into the stories going on in Runescape, because I feel like that's really uncommon? But some of the writing is actually really good and I've been happily surprised to find that out.
Anyways! Onward to Song of the Elves! Here's the updated relevant skills:
- Agility: 64
- Construction: 62
- Farming: 55
- Herblore: 54
- Hunter: 70 *Done!*
- Mining: 61
- Smithing: 70 *Done!*
- Woodcutting: 70 *Done!*
I'm not 100% sure what my plan from here is, honestly. I think technically I can make some GP while levelling Herblore if I stick to cleaning herbs, and that gets better if I unlock the Degrime spell - so maybe I tackle A Kingdom Divided next? Sure! But I definitely need to start making a lot of GP, because I only have about 5 mil right now and Construction is going to absolutely eat that up. Anyways, on to Kourend :)
Talk to y'all next time!
4/17/23 - RIP Blisterwood Tree (Main Account)
So this update took a little longer to get to than planned! I was away on a 2 week vacation and didn't really play any Runescape while I was gone, surprisingly. That being said, I have had some big updates since I got back home last week!
To start, I hit 70 Woodcutting! I spent a lot of time AFKing at the blisterwood tree while I was watching videos or doing little tasks on my main monitor, so it didn't feel intrusive much! That definitely took more time than questing has, but questing has felt a lot more intense haha. Speaking of quests, let's check out which of my Agility XP granting quests I've completed so far:
- Cabin Fever Done!
- Troll Romance Done!
- Land of the Goblins
- Mourning's End II Done!
- Beneath Cursed Sands
- Grim Tales
So halfway through with the quests! One thing that took longer than expected was Mourning's End II, which I could've clarified on earlier - I hadn't even done Roving Elves yet, so I had to do that *and then* Mourning's End I before I could touch II. On top of that I'm still learning how to get around the Elvish area and a few other areas of Gielinor that are new to me, so this was time consuming. I'm still on the quest grind though, and looking forward to wrapping it up!
Relevant skills for Song of the Elves just for the record!
- Agility: 62
- Construction: 62
- Farming: 55
- Herblore: 53
- Hunter: 70 *Done!*
- Mining: 61
- Smithing: 70 *Done!*
- Woodcutting: 70 *Done!*
As you can see, I finally started working on Farming! I'm getting in the hang of doing my farm run, including trees, fruit trees, hardwood trees, and herbs. I've obviously still got a very long way to go for 70 Farming, given that I'm not even a quarter of the way there, but the XP rate increases so much higher as you level it up more, so hopefully it won't be too bad.
Also, as of this update I've passed 1500 total level! Woo! No time for celebration though, as it's time to get back to questing :)
Talk to y'all next time!

3/27/23 - I Guess I'll Go Questing (Main Account)
So I've had more than a small change of plans! I haven't played since my last update (note none of the skills have changed yet) - but I've done some re-evaluation of my plans. Agility was going to be one of the more annoying and click intensive grinds for me, and I've realized that by completing quests I haven't done I can reduce the amount of Agility xp needed from 450k down to just under 300k. I'm going to need to finish these quests at some point anyways, and I have all of the requirements met for all of them except 70 Woodcutting - which I need to get anyways - so I'm gonna tackle these quests! Here's a list of the quests I'm going to knock out:
- Cabin Fever
- Troll Romance
- Land of the Goblins
- Mourning's End II (I forgot I hadn't done this yet)
- Beneath Cursed Sands
- Grim Tales
So first I'm heading to the blisterwood tree to get to 70 Woodcutting, getting the ale that boosts Woodcutting so I can use it to finish Grim Tales, and then hitting a ton of questing! I'm looking forward to it because I genuinely enjoy questing in OSRS, so I should have some fun here. More fun than repetitively clicking at Hallowed Sepulchre, anyways :)
Relevant skills for Song of the Elves just for the record!
- Agility: 60
- Construction: 62
- Farming: 40
- Herblore: 53
- Hunter: 70 *Done!*
- Mining: 61
- Smithing: 70 *Done!*
- Woodcutting: 62

3/25/23 - A 1600th Salamander Has Hit The Net Trap (Main Account)
Well, 1600 salamanders caught and my Hunter goal is met! I honestly haven't been *that* focused playing Runescape in a while, and weirdly I think I have writing these little updates to thank for this new found motivation. It might be silly, but having a positive update to post here was really good motivation for me to keep on clicking!
One small thing is that I didn't do any farming runs during that grind, and I really need to start doing those, but maybe I'll just have to spend a few extra hours at Tithe Farm if I can't get my brain to remember the runs. Anyways, here's the updated relevant stats for Song of the Elves!
- Agility: 60
- Construction: 62
- Farming: 40
- Herblore: 53
- Hunter: 70 *Done!*
- Mining: 61
- Smithing: 70 *Done!*
- Woodcutting: 62
The next one I want to tackle is Mining - so on to Falador and the Mining Guild we go! Talk to y'all next time!
3/23/23 - Plan of the Elves (Main Account)
This is gonna be a bit of a lengthy update! I've got a lot to work on right now, and this update is basically me formulating my plan of attack!
I've decided it's time to get my skills up to the appropriate levels to finally take a run at the Song of the Elves quest. I've finished all of the required quests to get there and am confident that I can finish the quest itself, but getting 70 in so many skills is a lot! I've got quite a few levels to get to the goal of 70 in all the required skills (I recommend checking the requirements here) with my relevant skills being at the following:
- Agility: 60
- Construction: 62
- Farming: 40
- Herblore: 53
- Hunter: 62
- Mining: 61
- Smithing: 70 *Done!*
- Woodcutting: 62
So I've definitely got some hours ahead of me! I'm not gonna spend a ton of space talking about the straightforward ones, so lemme address them here. I'm gonna Hallowed Sepulchre to 70 (actually 72, I'll talk about that another time) agility. Construction and Herblore I unfortunately just have to spend a ton of gold on, so nothing exciting there. Mining I'm just gonna mine iron most likely. And that leaves us with Farming, Hunter, and Woodcutting!
Hunter is what I've been working on today, and honestly it's not that bad. I was using drift net fishing until I got to 60 Hunter, and that was pretty enjoyable honestly. Now that I've got 60 Hunter tho, hunting for red salamanders is significantly better xp/hour - I got 2 levels today while just mindlessly going for red salamanders and I don't think I was playing for even 30 minutes? Kinda wild! So that's what I'm doing until 67, and then I can hunt black salamanders in the wilderness and the xp/hour gets even better! I'm not sure if grinding Hunter more to get to black chinchompas will ever be worth it for me because being in the Wilderness gives me anxiety, but we'll see!
Woodcutting is pretty straightforwards, but I think this method is so convenient I wanna talk about it. I'm so glad I went through the Myreque quest lines because that gave me access to the Blisterwood tree - and with that I can almost AFK my way to 70 woodcutting! I'm not gonna make any gold doing this, but it's so much more AFK than doing Sulliuscep cutting that I'm okay with that.
And that leaves us with Farming! I hate farming tbh. I'm so bad at remembering to do farm runs that I've basically given up on them already - but getting from 40 Farming to 70 is going to require me to do them. I'm gonna stick to tree runs at first, but I know that by the time I get my other skills to 70 just doing tree runs won't have me at 70 Farming yet. So the plan: Tree runs only until the rest of the required skills are at 70, and then at that point grind out Tithe Farm. Tithe Farm is click intensive and will take me several hours to get to the Farming requirement, but it'll be a lot faster than waiting days at a time for trees to grow. Tithe Farm doesn't really have many rewards I care about other than maybe the auto-weed service, but I've seen some people talk about using points to get grape seeds and growing grapes during your Tithe Farm runs for maximum xp/hour. I'm not 100% sure if I'll do that, but the option is there!
And that's what I'm going to be up to! I don't foresee myself deviating from any of these activities for the near future because I really want to finish Song of the Elves, but to give us something to look forward to: I wanna learn how to Zulrah. One step at a time though :)
Talk to y'all next time!!
